Rapkinesis is an original method for making people’s bodies work better. It works on all living bodies — sick or healthy, old or young, big or small. It always works. This method is the invention of a way of complexifying the bioenergetic structure that the body continually uses to organize and heal itself — in a process known as autopoesis.
Complexification of the guiding structural elements of the body creates an immediate energetic and informatic benefit. Through Rapkinesis, this somatic energy is rhythmically inscribed and distributed as new tonal quality through the networked systems of the body.
01. The body is logical. That doesn’t mean rational but instead systemic and coherent. The body works with a type of non-conceptual intelligence. We call it somatologic. To understand a different type of rationality you need a different thinking — a type of somatic thinking — and this requires its own form of precise intuition. This is Rapkinesis.
In a hologram any part to some degree conserves the qualities of the whole. That means the advantage of working on a body the right way is that when you fix one part the effect of the correction resonates through the different registers of the entire body. For this we need special tools to read and later re-write the body into correction. This is a basic body programming language called somatext.
In Rapkinesis, by understanding somatext and developing techniques according to its logic, we have a powerful and at the same time natural method for resolving the true functional blockages that lie at the core of chronic human pain and suffering.
And that’s the way a body wants you to help it help itself.
Do you want to learn Rapkinesis?
Rapkinesis is a method of working with bodies so they will work better. It is also a method for thinking about how bodies work. So Rapkinesis helps your thinking and your working.
Rapkinesis is a modular model for somatic thinking and praxis that can be used by different kinds of therapists to make their own way of working both illuminating and effective. No matter what may be your professional dedication, either a body responds to what you did to it or it doesn’t. Are you always sure which it is? Rapkinesis trains your eye and hand to create the serial corrections that give the greatest benefit with the least resistance. Then you will learn to perceive — including beyond the visual spectrum — how, in fact, you can make a body work better.
Would you like that tool in your toolbox?
This year the first trainings using Rapkinesis will be given. There will be one for professional body workers in progressive modules throughout the year, an adaptation of Rapkinesis for Pilates instructors, and finally a workshop in Rapkinesis for Yoga instructors. The details of each course will be elaborated shortly in the Journal section.
DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC AND CREATOR OF RAPKINESIS
Max Martin Rapkin graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1990 at the Life College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia, USA. Immediately afterward he began to practice using the Directional Non-Force Technique as taught by Dr. Chris John, and in 1994 opened his own clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, which he maintained for ten years as the Center for Non- Force Chiropractic.
In 2007 Dr Rapkin gained his work residency in Spain. Dr. Rapkin currently lives and maintains the Estudio Ars Somaticum in Zaragoza where he offers individual sessions and teaches his work, known as Rapkinesis.
BIO-SYSTEM INTEGRATOR + MOVEMENT TRAINER
In 2012 Ferran met Dr. Max Rapkin and since then has been studying and working with him. He has become the key collaborator in the realization of the Rapkinesis method in Spain. Ferran lives and works in Barcelona.
Rapkinesis is invisible. It is a way of thinking. It is a way of thinking about being clinical. That is, the way you are when you direct your healing skills towards another — how you put yourself into their service. That’s being clinical. We all can do it. We all do it naturally — when we listen to a friend’s…
Rapkinesis became virtual by way of a group effort.
